Sharon Miller is a multi-award-winning international keynote speaker, experienced facilitator and wellbeing practitioner – known for transforming how people feel, connect and perform at work.

With over three decades of experience across education, the arts, health, justice and community settings, Sharon brings a rare depth of expertise into every room she works in.

Sharon’s approach is grounded in both professional expertise and lived experience.

Her career began as a primary school teacher drama educator and theatre practitioner, but from the outset Sharon also worked as a manager, project designer and producer, developing and leading large-scale programmes for organisations and communities across Scotland. She has held senior creative roles including Education Officer for Borderline Theatre and Arts Developer Criminal Justice for Creative Scotland-funded initiatives, consistently designing projects that brought together artists, educators and partner organisations to create meaningful social impact.

A significant influence throughout Sharon’s early career was her long-standing work with Scottish Opera, where she led and directed expressive arts programmes for children and young people across the country. This work embedded music and storytelling into her practice, shaping the emotional depth that continues to underpin Joyworks! experiences today. BIT ABOUT associate artist at Scottish Youth Theatre??

Alongside her creative leadership, Sharon worked extensively in schools, prisons, and rehabilitation contexts, using drama, theatre and creative expression as tools for confidence-building, emotional awareness and connection. This hands-on work, particularly with marginalised and vulnerable groups, deepened her understanding of human behaviour, resilience and the importance of psychological safety.

Rather than following a traditional academic route, Sharon’s wellbeing expertise developed through practice, immersion and lived experience. Over many years, she cultivated a personal practice of yoga, meditation and breathwork, drawing on ancient contemplative traditions to support calm, presence and nervous system regulation. These practices became an integral part of her work, informing a grounded, compassionate approach that resonates across diverse audiences.

In the 2010s, Sharon spearheaded the laughter yoga movement in Scotland, by training with Dr Kataria and training over 200 laughter yoga leaders. All the while staying true to her own method.

Today, Sharon brings all of this experience together through the 360º Joyworks! Method, a whole-person framework blending science-backed positive psychology, trauma-informed self-compassion, ancient wisdom traditions and creative expression. She works internationally with corporates, public sector organisations, charities and individuals, helping people rediscover joy, resilience and connection in ways that feel authentic, inclusive and deeply human.

"Thanks for an engaging session, Sharon. It was refreshing to step back and focus on wellbeing, energy, and the importance of having fun. Your approach certainly pushed us out of our comfort zones and served as a valuable reminder to enjoy the moment and not take everything too seriously."
