Why I created The Joy Academy

I created The Joy Academy from lived experience – through loss, serious illness, rebuilding and finding my way back to me.

 

I know what it is like to:

  • Lose yourself in grief

  • Fall apart

  • Carry emotional weight

  • Try to keep going

  • Want to be happy again

This space exists so you don’t have to do that alone.

It’s a community for people who want:

  • Support, without judgement

  • Connection

  • Growth

  • Find joy that feels real, not forced

What The Joy Academy offers you

A safe, soulful, uplifting space to grow and rediscover yourself.

Through the same whole-person approach to joy of my 360º Joyworks! Method, we will explore:

  • Positive psychology techniques to shift your mindset

  • Self-compassion practices to soothe and strengthen

  • Eastern wisdom for calm and clarity

  • Creative expression to reconnect with joy

And you’ll do it surrounded by others on their own journeys – guided with warmth, humour and deep understanding. And, we’ll have a lot of fun and laughs along the way.

What happens inside The Joy Academy

  • Weekly interactive live joy calls with Sharon – themed each new month with the Joyworks! Method (Thursdays, alternative weeks 2 pm and 7 pm BST, all recorded)

  • Simple tools and techniques you can actually use when life is tough

  • Ongoing support so you don’t fall back into doing it alone

  • Telegram group to keep learning with your clan going

  • A full library of sessions you can come back to anytime
