Sharon is the founder of multi-award winning Joyworks and has over 30 years of
experience in education, theatre, rehabilitation and mental health.
She is known for her joyful energy, trauma-informed programmes and
transformational events. A keynote speaker and pioneer, Sharon spearheaded the
laughter therapy movement in 2008 by developing the Joyworks method and brought
the laughter yoga movement to Scotland by training over 200 laughter yoga leaders.
She provides workplace programmes with organisations including the NHS, Coca-
Cola, Nestlé, the Scottish Parliament, SSE and Virgin Money.
As creator of the international Joy Academy Membership, Sharon built on sixteen
years of providing a free community space. The Joyworks Method blends spirituality,
laughter therapy, breathwork, meditation and creativity with neuroscience-backed
