Why I wanted to give everyone their money back in my first ever public event
I often wonder what would have happened if my sister Laura who I was staying with at the time hadn’t encouraged me and rallied all her pals together to come to my first public event in Ruthven Lane (just off Byres Road in Glasgow.)
The last thing I wanted to do was have fun or laugh!
I had been involved in a house fire and was going to just forget about it all.
We need an inspirational clan around us to help reach our dreams.
I’m so glad my sister rallied her troops and all the drama friends (I was directing shows and teaching drama at the time) who came to support.
It was an absolute belter of a night.
I felt so grateful for everyone and wanted to give everyone their money back.
I felt so alive, me and home.
I could never have imagined the incredible people I’ve met and the places it has taken me or the lives I would have changed. The beautiful friends I’d make along the way or how it would open me up.
Out of the flames comes the Phoenix my friend Ranjit said to me. We had met at a Firewalk!
It was at that time so much changed.
I began travelling back and forward to India.
A whole new way of being opened up to me and a whole new soul tribe too.
There’s been lots of ups and downs along the joy path as there are for everyone but it’s been the biggest blessing to do what I love.
So if you are struggling at the moment know that everything changes.
Nothing stays the same for ever.
Let your tribe help you and know that one day pretty soon you will look back and thank that ‘rubbish’ time for all the gold you have in your life now.
Thank you to each and every one of you for all your custom and repeated custom, your friendship, support, fun and kindness along the way and if we haven’t connected yet. Reach out I’d love to chat with you.
Love Sharon ❤️
