10 Ways to Boost Your Confidence Now

1. Remember you’ve rebuilt before
Say to yourself: “If I’ve done it once, I can do it again.”

“You either walk inside your story and own it, or you stand outside your story and hustle for your worthiness.” — Brené Brown

2. Reframe mistakes as stepping stones
Mistakes aren’t proof you’re failing, they’re proof you’re learning. Every wobble is practice for your next leap.

“Nothing ever goes away until it has taught us what we need to know.” Pema Chödrön

3. Take the scary decision quickly
Most fears are just paper tigers—they look fierce, but crumble when you poke them. Leap first, then laugh at how harmless it really was.

“The quality of your life is in direct proportion to the amount of uncertainty you can comfortably live with.”   Tony Robbins

4. Just press the button
That video, email, or opportunity—don’t wait for perfect. Click, wobble, share anyway.

“Imperfections are not inadequacies; they are reminders that we’re all in this together.” Brené Brown

5. Get to know your ‘not enough’ voice
Write down the pesky things it whispers during the day: “You’re too much!” “You’re not ready!” Then have a good giggle at it—draw it as a cartoon, give it a squeaky voice, or imagine it wearing a tutu. Play shrinks the power of that inner critic.

“The critical voice follows us everywhere, and the moment we name it, we begin to free ourselves from it.”  Tara Brach

6. Surround yourself with uplifters
Confidence is contagious. Borrow belief from those who see your sparkle when you forget it.

“Surround yourself with people who are only going to lift you higher.”  Tony Robbins

7. Look the part, feel the part

Put on a bold colour,  new lipstick something you’d never dare to wear that can trick your brain into feeling braver.  Dance to your favourite song before heading out!

“Motion creates emotion.”     Tony Robbins

8. Anchor into your values and your why
Confidence wobbles when you chase approval. It steadies when you remember your deepest values.

“Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.”  Brené Brown

9. Step just outside your comfort zone daily

One tiny brave act each day—send that message, speak up, or say yes to something fun— outside our comfort zone is where all the fun is!

“Each moment is an opportunity to make a new choice.”    Tara Brach

10. Celebrate imperfect progress
Keep a “ta-dah  joy list ” instead of a to-do list. Every small win deserves recognition and joy.

“The key to success is to celebrate small wins along the way, because that creates the dopamine effect that drives you to keep going.” — Teresa Amabile, Harvard Business School Professor

Remember confidence isn’t about never wobbling. It’s about wobbling knowing we are all in this together, laughing at that inner critic that keeps us stuck, and remembering—you’re already more than enough. Compassion plus inspired action rewires those old habits!  Here’s what tragedy taught me about confidence!
